Two-time world under-8 chess champion Ivana Furtado secured her Woman FIDE Master (WFM) title after winning a silver medal in under-12 girls category at World Youth Chess championship in Greece recently.
The 11-year-old chess prodigy from Goa had earlier became the Women Candidate Master (WCM).
Ivana's current FIDE rating is 2001 and her rank in the U-12 girls as per the latest FIDE rating list is first in National, first in Asian and fourth in World, a press release by the Chess Association of Goa, said.
