Indian IT major Tata Consultancy Services chief executive and managing director N.Chandrasekaran today said that they would hire 37,000 professionals for its domestic and overseas markets through campus placements in the next fiscal.
The company had hired 27,500 professionals through campus recruitment last year.
He said that TCS has already crossed its hiring target of 50,000 employees for 2010-11 and will be adding 12,000-15,000 employees in the fourth quarter of this financial year.
He also said that though the IT outsourcing demand in Europe was recovering, it was “slightly behind the curve”. However, the outlook for North America, its largest exports market, remained strong, he added.
“What I see on the ground is the spend is increasing. Fiscal 2012 will be a better year...better for growth,” Chandrasekaran added.
